September 2nd, 2025

I wanted to invite you to join me and the City Council in our next goal setting survey. These goals will guide everything we do, from how we prioritize projects, direct resources, and plan for the future of Champaign.

This fall, on October 7–8, 2025, the Council will meet to set our goals for the 2025–2027 term.

But before we do, we need to hear from you.

You can find the the Council Goal Setting Survey here and find out more about it here.

Your feedback will be shared directly with us before our sessions, helping shape the priorities for the next two years, whether that’s safer streets, vibrant neighborhoods, or new economic opportunities.

The survey closes on September 9, 2025, so don’t miss your chance to make your voice part of the process.

Printed copies are also available at the Champaign City Building (102 N. Neil St.) if you’d rather fill one out in person.

I hope you’ll join us in helping shape Champaign’s future.

All the best,

Deb Feinen

Mayor, City of Champaign

P.S. I’m thrilled to share that the brand-new I-74 Westbound to I-57 Southbound Interchange is officially open! This $250 million investment, which was 90% funded by the federal government, means a safer, smoother, and more efficient flyover for everyone in our community.

It’s already helping our economy, creating jobs, job training, and most importantly making travel safer for all. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!
