A History of Service

Optimized-Deb_Feinen__578.jpgDeb was appointed as an At-Large Member of the Champaign City Council in 2006 and received the highest number of votes for that position in the February 2007 primary in a field of nine candidates. She was elected in April of 2007 to an At-Large City Council Seat and re-elected in 2011.


Prior to her service on City Council, Deb served on the Champaign County Board for 14 years, where she served as Board Vice Chair for four years. As a County Board Member, Deb ran and was elected four times. In 1992 she received the highest number of votes of all Board Candidates in District #6 and in the 2002 election, she received more votes than any other County Board candidate. Deb is a former candidate for State Representative for the 103rd District which includes much of Champaign and Urbana.  Deb was also selected as an Edgar Fellow  for the class of 2013.
