Please Volunteer!

The News-Gazette has a story online today stating that if the Illinois Marathon doesn’t get about 150-200 more volunteers by April 1st that it will be cancelled.  There are 7,500 runners already registered!  What a great economic benefit to our community.  I also have seen so many people out there running- what a great health benefit to our community!  This Marathon could become an annual event in Champaign-Urbana and draw huge crowds.  This is a very good thing for our community.  If you are able please go to www.illinoismarathon.com and register as a volunteer.  We need to make sure the Marathon happens on April 11th!

disclaimer- I am planning to run the 1/2 marathon and will be very dissapointed if all my training was for nothing….
